This is the very first galaxy I ever did, I watched the same Youtube video about 10 times before I even started. Pablo Picasso once said "Good artists copy, great artists steal", I'm not yet ready to call myself an artist yet, but these Youtube videos of how to watercolor galaxy really inspired me into do something that not only help myself but others too.

My best friend left San Francisco back in September and things aren't very easy sometimes without her around, though we do talk to each other everyday thanks to technology. I like to jokingly say that she's my better conscious. She has the biggest and softest heart. This is the first piece I did with watercolor pencils with a small touch of watercolor.

This was a very interesting one, as I was trying to draw a galaxy I somehow somewhat drew a camouflage (yup under the galaxy was a circle with camouflage on it). But this is the fun part of watercolor, I was able to alter the camouflage into an actual galaxy. My friend who received 003 gave me $20 for it, I gave the money back and kindly asked him to write someone a nice hand written note in return.

This is definitely one of my favorite and it's a combination of watercolor pencils and watercolor paint. It's the first galaxy that I mix both mediums together. I met my friend on a cruise back in October 2016, and every time she sees me she ask me if I was sober. Living in San Diego I don't really get to see her that much but social media keeps us in touch with each other. Hopefully I'll be able to see her a bit more this year and I'd like to get to know her better,

This is almost a replicate of #001, I watched the same Youtube video while trying to make this one, basically trying to hone my skill. Even though the color combination is very similar you can still see the difference between the two. I really enjoy doing this color combination a lot. This one was sent to my cousin who lives in LA, it also happened to be partially a birthday card for her.

My buddy hit me up and asked me if I was free for a free dinner. His girl was having a birthday dinner where the meal was prepaid but her friend wasn't able to make it. It was hard to say no to free food but I didn't want to show up empty handed and I decided to make this a small birthday card for her to also thank her for the invitation. It's a new friend who didn't ask for the galaxy but I'm hoping she'd write one of her friends a nice note too.

I tried a different color combination like how I'd normally do it. It turned out a bit more interesting then I was intended to have, which I actually really liked it. This is a combination of watercolor pencils and watercolor. I gave it to one of my girlfriend whom I know practice gratitude almost all the time. Everything coming out of her is mostly compliment. Things feel like they're always positively exciting for her, just being around her makes me feel happy.

I always tell people that there's no right way of how to display these galaxies. Art is about how you want to view it isn't it? I gave this to one of my bosses on his birthday. He has an awesome project - HireClub that connects people to look for a job. I've been in transition trying to look for a new job for a while, and I learned about HireClub which had connected me to a couple leads. He's a smart guy that does a lot amazing things, I learn something new about him all the time.
